  1. Home Made Toys.
    Daisy chains are made by little girls to ornament themselves or their dolls.
    Whistles are made from horse chestnuts which are scraped out and a tiny hole left. They make a fine whistle.
    Toys and marbles used to be made out of a very dauby blueish grey substance found near the lake when dried those hardened and made quite good toys.
    Cradle birds were made by the boys of sally rods. They knit the rods as for a creel. And a three pronged rod called a gablog held up the cradle and a string from it snapped the gablog which dropped + captured the bird
    Spinning tops were made from spools the no 10 reel made the best top as it was strong +
