   My Home District Mullaghroe is the name of my townland. Coolavin is my barony and Gurteen is my parish. Mullaghroe lies between Willies Meehan's house on the main road and Mrs Healy's house which is bordering on Mahonagh. There are 13 houses in my townland and the population is 72. There are more slated houses than thatched ones. There are two ruins namely Jimmy Cryan's house and Brigid Brennan's house. A long time ago there was an old man called Owdy Brennan and his wife Biddy living in eastern Mullaghroe. They had four
