  1. The wild cats are fierce to look at they are much larger than the ordinary cat. They would attack a person and bite them. One night there was a man from the other side of Ballymote coming home from Sligo and he had a horse and cart and when he was coming up at Annamore he heard a cry and the next thing he heard was a lot of crying and when he looked around as the night was bright he saw this big cat on the back of his cart. He hit it with his whip and it made a jump at him.
    The next thing he saw was a few more jumping up and they kept coming into the cart. He counted nine of them so he said he would not touch them. So they came along on the cart for about two miles and then they started to jump off one by one
