A boy could make a gun out of a boortree. It was called a bullet gun. The gun was about five inches in length. There was a hole up the centre of the gun. He used to put wet paper in each end of the gun and then he would put a stick called a ram-rod up the centre of the gun forcing the two pieces of paper out on one end of the gun and they would let a great shot.
