  1. On november day it is unlucky to put out ashes. It is also unlucky to put out water on New Year's day. It is unlucky to give away anything on May day. If a person went into a house when they would be churning, and if they did not take a drass they would bring away the butter.
    If a person brought away anything out of a house where hey would be churning they would also bring away the butter. On St. Bridget's day the people make a cross and hang it up over the picture of the Sacred Heart in honour of St Bridget
