Ar an leathanach seo

  1. Wheaten or brown bread was used mostly by the old people. It was made from wheat. Oatmeal was often mixed with white flour for bread, and Indian Meal + Bran made another kind of a cake. Nobody remembers 'querns' being used. Potatoe bread + Boxty were made too and are still made. To make boxty bread raw potatoes were grated down + mixed with flour + wet with water or buttermilk.
