    but neither tale nor tidings of him could they get. At the end of the day they gave up searching for him and retired for the night. Then the old lady told Fionn to go an lie on the bed of Benbulbin heather at the seashore. Next morning the three spies came to the old lady in the cave and said to her
    "You must have been telling lies to us, because we searched all the likely and unlikely places"
    The old lady said "Of course you know I never told a lie in my life." So the spies had to admit it.
    The three spies spent three days looking for Fionn, but still they did not get him, so they had to give up the search.
