Long ago the people used put three saucers on the table. In one saucer would be clean water; in another dirty water; and in the third saucer nothing.
Then they would blindfold each of the players in turn and lead him to the table. If he would put his hand into the saucer of clean water he would get married to a clean wife; if into the saucer of dirty water he would get married to a dirty wife; and if(continues on next page)
