    Bhí beirt na gcomhnuidhe i nDúnchaoin fadó. Bhíodar ana bhocht. Oidhche amháin bhí duine aca na chómhnuidhe in Ghleann Dearg. I gcaitheamh na h-oidhche tháinig sgata cait le chéile agus chuireadar i núil do dul in áit áirighthe agus ná cídhfeadh sé lá bocht as san amach na shaoghal. Do dhéin sé amhlaidh agus nuair a chuaidh sé san áit fuair sé mála mór óir agus as san amach ní raibh lá bocht na shaoghal aige.
