    Any number of players sitting in a ring can play it The leader askes some question of each in turn. "Here's this what's this?" And answers are as follows (1) A fat hen,
    (2) Two ducks and a fat hen,
    (3) Three plump partridges, two ducks and a fat hen
    (4) Four hares headless, three ets...hen,
    (5) Five grey geese in a green field grazing,
    Four etc ... hen
    (6) Si rung pigs in a rye field rooting, five gey geese, etc,... hen
    (8) Eight Eight merry hammers on an anvil dancing, seven etc ......... hen
    (9) Nine cows giving milk and their spankels made of silk, eight merry etc ..... hen.
