    of Ballisodare got word of this so they intercepted the motor at Larkhill. Those in the car jumped out and tryed to escape up the mountains but the soldiers opened fire on them and shot Geoghan. On the strand near Beltra Church there is a heap of stones which is supposed to mark the burial place of Eochy king of the Firbogs who was killed by the De Danans after the battle Moytura in Mayo.
