  1. About ten years ago a man named Golden of Donowla got married. He was rich and he had six motor cars at his wedding. When the marriage ceremony was over the crowd went to Strandhill and spent the day there. When they were coming home at night, it began snowing. When the crowd came to Hellisgates they found that the road was blocked by snow and that the cars could not pass. As it was dark and they had no tools to dig away the snow they had to leave the cars there and walk home.
