  1. A long time ago there lived a man in Dooneal named Paddy McGee. He was the most famous singer around Dooneal. He won several prizes at feiseanne in Sligo. One day he went to a Feis in Sligo, and when he was coming home in the evening, fairies came out before him and asked him to sing. He refused to do so. Then the Queen came and asked him to sing and he refused to sing even for her. Then she said to him, "If you do not sing, now for me, I will take your voice," which she did. Paddy never again could sing.
