I do not know of any song, story or rhyme that is connected with Corrimbla. The land in my village is nearly all of a boggy wet nature, and there are no woods in it.
The two rivers which border Corrimbla are called the Brosna and the Gleann Riogh Rivers. There are no lakes in our village, but there is one pond which dries up in hot weather. Streams are very plentiful in the village but there are no stories connected with any of them. - "Well what do you want to know now?" asked John Clarke the other evening when he came to our house visiting,"I see you are getting your copy and pencil ready""I want you to tell me" I said, if you know anything(continues on next page)
