    quoted. She made one about her house ; it was built of mud wall.
    "My house it is built of the National Soil.
    The walls were erected by old Mickey Doyle.
    The roof it's flat, just level and plain,
    And I get a wetting every time it does rain."
    She made one about Niagara Falls ; it went something like this.
    "It must be a great big spout.
    It would fill your throat without a doubt.
    The yankees thirst it was so great, in weather that was dry.
    Niagara, the Almighty made, this thirst to satisfy"
    These are not the right words but I hope they may cause some of the old people to come forward with a complete account of her work ; it is rumoured she wrote :
    "On education all our lives depend.
    And too few to that, with care attend.
    As soon as mother permits her darling joy,
    To quit her knee and trusts in school her boy ;
    Touch him not, what e'er he does is right ;
    His parts are tender, and he is awful bright.
    Thus all the bad he can, he learns in school;
    Does what he will, and grows up a silly fool."
    There is much of her work credited to others.
    She went back to Galway to her sister, and
