- (continued from previous page)affix the snail to a briar. According as the snail dies the warts disappears. Another cure is to wash the warts in the water found in the hollow of a rock. If somebody gives you a penny and tells you to bury it and never look at it more, your warts will disappear.
If you lift a stray paper on the road and you want to escape wart infection say "warty warty none of mine" and throw the paper away.
Cure of the worms
A lump of sugar which has been salinaled with a few drops of lunpertine taken fasting for nine mornings. - 1. If a clock starts to go after being stopped for years it is a sign of a death in the family.
2. When a rooster crows at midnight if his feet are found to be warm it is a sign of good luck, but if they are cold somebody in the house is going to die.
