    said if the cat crossed the corpse and then crossed some other person that person would die before a year passed. It was not right to light one candle out of another. All the Holy Pictures were taken down for if one fell on the floor some one in the house would die before a year. No one could bring a coal out of the house the day of the funeral. The coffin could not be carried across the house or the whole household would die before a year. The mother would not go with the funeral of her first son or another would die shortly.
