    was bleeding.
    This witch used to go to the bog to work at the turf. When she wanted to put them in footings, she said "Three standing and one on the top." No sooner had she these words said then the turf got up and do as she bade them.

  2. First they took the skin off an an animal which they were going to make into leather. They placed it on the ground with the hairy side up. They dusted it over evenly with quick lime. They left in for ten days. It was washed then and the hair came off. It is put down in a hole with water and oak bark. It is left there for some time. After it is taken up it is perfect leather.
