  1. Two girls, one of whom was eighteen years old and the other nineteen were drowned in the river Shannon fifteen years ago. They were drowned on the 9th June 1922. They were daughters of Mike Molloy, Main St., Longford.
    They went out rowing in a boat on the Shannon one Sunday. When they were about half an hour out the boat turned over and the two girls were drowned. There bodies were found next day and they standing erect in the water. There bodies were interred in Drumlish graveyard on the 11th June.
