Nowadays there is a great difference in the way they dance and where they dance compared with long ago. Long ago there was no such a thing as a hall dance at all. There were no bands either. There was a dance at a cross roads in the evening or at a [?] alley and be home about night fall. There was also a churn dash and some one would give the churn dash and a cake upon the top of it to the best looking girl or what was called that time "the Belle of the Ball".
