- Long ago the old people made remedies for their ailments from the herbs of the land. For the toothache a little prayer is said for a cure.

The cure of the headache is water mixed with baking soda.
The chincough is cured by putting the child under the young ass foal and made drink the milk.
There is a prayer said to Our Lord for curing a broken hip, leg or arm.
Jesus rode over the hill on his foal

He put sinew to sinew and bone to bone
And Jesus rode home on his foal.
A snail put on a bush with a thorn in its stomach cures a burn and as long as the snail is withering the burn is(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
