They used to get tea at the Balls and the way they would make it was in a big pot boiling it all the side of the fire all night.
When the people of the house would be expecting a very big crowd of boys and that it would be too expensive to give right bought tea to them they would put down a big pot of hay and have it boiling the whole evening and at night it would be the same as tea.
