forsook the cheeks of the child called Lucy Webb

The day then of the trail it grieved
me to the heart to hear her father
how bitterly he swore.
He swore she had a fortune of one
thousand pounds to get that was the
reason I eloped with his daughter Lucy Webb

did this man behave my Lord and jury
