- There was a big wind in the year 1839 in the month of September. It blew down trees and houses. Before the wind came, every place was calm and still and all of a sudden the wind started and the people put pots turned up side down on the fire to keep their coals from blowing about. There was a great thunderstorn on the 28th of June 1933 it killed horses and cows and burned stacks of hay.
