One sign of the weather is when a cat has his or her back to the fire it is a sign of stormy weather, or when a donkey has its back to a hedge it means the same.
When a cat scrapes the legs of a table it is a sign of rain.
When a dog drinks water or eats grass it is a sign of rain.
When one's corns are sore it is a sign of rain.
When the swallows fly low it is also a sign of rain.
When one can smell the smoke of a train it is a sign of rain.
