  1. In my district are few holy wells. Saint Brigid and Saint Lasairs are the only ones for miles around. Saint Brigid visited a place balled Blonfad and there is a holy well there. It is an old custom for people to visit the well and leave an old rag on a whitethorn bush over the well.
    There are three fishes in the well and when a person goes for a cure or favour if they see the fishes the favour will be granted.
    The people visit the well between the 15th August and the 8th September.
