There are two forts on a a hill in the townland of Roscarbon. There is one in Peter Mc Gee's land and the other in Owen Reynold's land. The latter is situated in a hollowed field, and it cannot be seen only when beside it. It is a round patch of land raised up from the surrounding land and the fort is not surrounded by bushes or a trench. The other fort is surrounded by a ditch with a thick row of whins which appear to be old. The latter is eleven yards wide and forty four yards in circumference, and the other is eight yards wide and forty yards in circumference.
