    A Tanyard
There is a hole twenty yards in circumference and five feet deep in Laheen wood, called the Tanyard. Long ago people used to bury animal skins and lime to take the hair off it. The skins used to be left there for four or five weeks. This was last used in Peyton's time. There are six or seven trees growing round it.
