    An old man named Johnney Bohan Scardawn, told me that the pain in the ear could be cured by roasting an onion in the fire, and putting the heart of it into the ear, while it is warm. Then leaving it in it, for ten minutes, and then the pain will go away.

    Corns can be cured in the following way. First get houseleek. Pull it and pound it with a stick. Then rub a piece of butter or lard to it. Put the houseleek on the corn then, by putting a piece of cloth round it. Tie it tightly so that it would not
