    14. They never give out milk to neighbours until the first churning is made after a cow calfs.
    15. When a cow calfs she is "blessed" with a half-burnt sod of turf held in a tonges. The sign of the cross is made with the tonges under the cow by putting the tonges here then under the cow's udder etc. She is then finally blessed by tying a red rag on her tail.
    16. When a mother washes the feet of the children she leaves the dirty water in the house. It is never thrown out until morning.
    17. If a person enters a house he has to go out by the same door.
    18. A person should never eat wild fruit after november Day. The fairies play on them.
    19. Cabbage is broken on november's Day (while cabbage is bad to eat later in the year)
    20. People on no account should be out after 12 oclock november night. Fairies are supposed to be very active on that night.
    21. If a person is going on a journey he should never turn back.
