    For a stitch in the back or side: Bandage a warm cabbage leaf on the sore part.
    Ear ache: Warm olive oil.
    Broken blister: The white of an egg and as much flour as will make a stiff paste and cover the blister with it & leave it on till it falls off.
    Toothache: Soot.
    Bad sore: A dog to lick it.
    Sty on the eye: Pull ten gooseberry thorns three successive Thursdays and make the sign of the Cross on the sty with nine of them and not to use the tenth.
    Chin-Cough: To give a pint of milk to a ferrit & to drink the milk the ferrit leaves after him.
    Chin-Cough: Drink the wine left in the cruet after mass.
    Boils: Mix soap and sugar according to the size of the boil. Boil the soap & sugar for a minute, put it on a white cloth and apply.
