There was a place in the parish of Clonberne below Franeys called Clais an t-Sagairt. The priest and the people used to go out at midnight at the risk of their lives and the priest would say mass and administer the Sacraments.
The Altar was made of stone with one flat stone on top. The priest went around to the houses to read mass but not for long for he was caught and put to death. I could not find out his name. The people said that they heard of people getting £5 for the head of a priest.
