  1. Buying and Selling
Buying and selling is still practised after Mass. Every shop-keeper has a license to sell groceries on Sundays.
Money is not always given for goods. Labour is often given in exchange.
There are many words connected with buying and selling. "Tick" is often used when the buyer is not paying for the goods he is getting.
Eggs, butter and other farm-produce is often given in exchange for goods.
Coins have different names. A three-penny bit is called "a child's eye". A six pence is called "a tanner". A shilling is called "a bob". A pound is called "a quid" or a sovereign.
