  2. Melting Lead
    For days before there is a great supply of lead stored up. This is usually got from shopkeepers
    who sell tea. The tea chests are lined with it.
    On November night the fortune of anyone who wishes is tried. A tiny piece of lead is placed in a small iron vessel which is put over the fire. When the lead is thoroughly melted it is poured through a ring, usually through a key ring into a basin of cold water.
    One of the members present, acts as an interpreter. There is much fun
