  2. About forty years ago in the year 1888 basket making was very common in this locality, all the old people knew how to make baskets.
    Before the baskets were made the rods were left a few days to season. Then they are woven and baskets are made of them. Twenty rods were suffishent for every basket.
    The best basket-maker around this locality was Tom Creaven native of Gunnoade.
