    night in the barn if they have no houses. Some of them sleep in houses or caravans and they nearly all ask for something to eat.
    Some of then go on bicycle or a donkey and cart or by foot. The gypsies go in bands and the beef men, clock men, and pedlars go singly. The best known among them are the tinkers, gypsies, mat men, pedlars, herring men, and delph men. They just come any time they like. They don't tell stories but sometimes the gypsies can tell your fortune.
