- It was said that Fion Mac Cumhail could have swallowed a cow or a calf in one bite. He could have pulled a battle [?] straw up his nose.
One day Fionn was going to some men where they were making gold. He was laughing at them. They told him to hold out his hat and they threw some gold into it and burned his hat. The next day Fionn put iron into his hat and the men put some gold into it. They tried to burn his hat, but they were not able. Fionn took the gold with him and went away laughing at the foolish men.
