  2. The banshee cried for old Johnie Blaney of Ballykinard. One night Mrs Blaney and Miss Kelly and Bridget Blaney of the Ross were coming along the road at the Ross lane beside Blaneys garden. the hear three terrible lonely cries the ran home the whole road that night the nearly fainted. it was about four or five nights before Johnie Blaney died
