   1 When the sky is of a very black colour towards the south it is a sign of thunder and lightning. 2 A very stormy wind blowing from the north in winter is a sign of snow. 3 A strong wind blowing from the north in spring is the sign of dry weather. 4 When the clouds are a grey colour and we think they are moving in the sky it is a sure sign of rain. 5 A horse standing with its back to the wind is the sign of a wet day. 6 When the smoke from the chimney blows towards the south it is the sign of good weather.
