    worn so much now. Clogs are made of leather, and they have wooden soles with an iron rim round them. They were made long ago by the people themselves. They were made from the hide of the cows.
    Leather was made in a tannery which was in the town of Letterkenny. Foot coverings of fox-skin, sheepskin and untanned hides were worn about one hundred years ago.
