    The name of Rinting or Shrove is given to the period from the sixth of January until Ash Wednesday.
    This is the time laid out for marriages. The month of May is said to be very unlucky for marrying in.
    Great preparations must be made so that when the marriage day comes everything is ready.
    Dresses, ring, and other necessities must be bought. The two who are to get married must get the marriage licensed with the parish priest and arrange the
