At one time there was a great ice on Lough h-Iasg and also all over the country. That season the men carted timber on this lough. Old Brooke the landlord, carted the first load on it. There were boys also playing camin daily on that lough. There is always danger of springs on these loughs. One day there were two boys playing camin on this lough. One of them ran and struck the ball. At the same time his body sank, the head was cut off by the ice from the body and ran along the ice crying "hail, hail, hail". The other boy went home speechless.
