- There is a lios situated on our land in the side of a field. The name of the field is the Lios. It is a circular mound surrounded by a small clay bank. From that lios can be seen a lios in Kilatoor. One time there were three liosses in our field but the old people dug them up leaving one lios. There is one place in the field which no-one can dig. It is a square perch of a big slab stone. Nothing ever grew on that patch of ground. It is said that that stone was one time the floor of the fairies dún. It is a square cut stone.
When there is a breeze in the air it is twice as bad near that lios, some people say that on account of the other two being dug. Our lios is connected to Kilatoor lios by an underground tunnel.- Collector
