    the road for another quarter of a mile until he reached the high wall at the entrance of Richmond House. Here the poor worn out Jimmy scaled the wall as Michael was nearly up to him. The wall was too high for Michael's lame leg but still he managed to get through the gateway and was again he was pursuing Jimmy who was running blindly through the field.
    Jimmy ran to a thick hedge in the field with a hope of crossing it, but as he was unable to do so he again returned to the high wall which he had previously scaled. Michael also returned and both men were nearly together at the wall.
    The field being a great deal more level with the wall that than that of the road helped both men in getting quickly over the wall, but as Jimmy was still the more active he leaped completely over it. Michael
