    some water and stir it around and it is said the whole family drank or sipped out of the noggin. But alas to relate as the hunger and starvation was increasing so was the death rate increasing just as fast. As there was no sustenance for the Human body so other diseases were setting in and in the Town lands of Coolcran, Derrygullana, Bannfield, Cloghans, Derryononian E.T.C. this terrible famine and other diseases brought on by the famine wiped out who and entire families. It is said when one in those households died of hunger the other members of the family were so weak from hunger that they were not able to remove the corpse to the burial grounds. The only
