    They heard it going and they thought it was the Devil that was inside. They fired it away and afterwards broke it up. When they seen the works going they thought they were the young Devils and made home in terror of their lives. The man knowing some of the children, went to their homes to inquire if they got any watch on the road.
    They did not but they met the Devil on the road. When they took it up and heard it going, they hit it against the wall and a lot of young ones fell out. The peddlar asked them to come with him to show him where they found the watch. The children went and showed him and to his
