- On the twenty-eight of October in 1928 there were nine men drowned in Lacken. The night being very fine they thought of no harm, so they set out to danger.Their names are Anthony Gouldrick, Thomas Goludrick, Thomas Lynnot, Anthony Kearney, Patrick Kearney, Anthony Collickan, Michael Kearney, and two other Gouldrick's.They were about a mile out to sea when the wind rose of a sudden.
