    There was also spinning and weaving carried on in this district. The people grew the flax themselves. When it was fully grown they cut it and then steeped it in water for a long time. When they took the flax out of the water they dried it and seasoned it. Then the people pulled the outside of the flax off and they spun the rest of it. There used to be a great [ ] of people in a house that would be spinning or weaving.
