  1. In year 1900 there was a man and woman going to home from Castlebar after doing some business and a big storm arose suddenly from the western coast as they were passing burren bridge and the bridge stood twenty-five feet over the river the bridge was very exposed to the storm. It was blowing on the side of the cart and there was a crib on the cart too and the storm turned the cart over and the poor woman was killed.
