(ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)an' he got ready his churn, an' started to work. He wasn't very long churning however, when the woman arrived, and she asked for a grain of salt. He told her that he hadn't got any, only what would do himself. She went away but it was not long until she returned again, if he could just spare a tiny pinch. "No nor devila pinch" he said. "Well for God's sake" said she, only gimme the smallesht little grain, for there ishtnt a thing in the house, but ishtnt flung at us".
The man hunted her home, an' when the churnin' was finished he never had a better return of butter in his life.

There was another man livin down near Temple-house, at wan time, an' he noticed that suddenly all his luck in butter making turned against him. Several churnings were made, but still he could get no butter. A friend advised him to put a horse shoe under the churn, but the result was the same, he got no butter.
He was beginning to believe that the horsre shoe, was of no use either, when somebody asked him, was he sure(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
